Burn Disaster Care and Treatment

Curtis Ryun

This class is a modified version of the Oregon Burn Centers disaster class. It is specifically designed for CERT training. It focuses on how to treat and maintain a burn victim in the case of a disaster in a community setting. The participant will learn how to treat and care for a burn victim with limited resources and supplies, including dressing techniques and fluid requirements. It is designed for both lay people and professionals. The participant will also learn about the Oregon Burn Center and the resources we provide to the community for burn and wound patients, including our staff and specialized equipment needed for the treatment of burns.
