If an earthquake, winter storm, or other disaster strikes our community, you may not have access to water for days or even weeks. Learn what water providers are doing to prepare for a disaster. This expert panel will discuss:
• the potential impacts of the Cascadia Subduction Zone Earthquake to water and wastewater systems, how long it may take to restore water and wastewater systems in your community and proposed recommendations to improve seismic resiliency of our infrastructure – as part of the draft Oregon Resiliency Plan.
• what regional water providers are doing to plan for a disaster with portable water distribution and treatment systems, regional interconnections, mutual aid agreements and other tools.
